Competition Rules
These rules define the expected behaviour of all participants during the competition. The goal is to ensure fairness, respect, safety, and a positive experience for everyone involved.
Respect all participants
Treat other competitors, organizers, volunteers, and guests with professionalism and respect at all times. Harassment, intimidation, insults, discrimination, or hostile behaviour will not be tolerated.
Fair play is mandatory
Compete honestly and independently within the allowed competition format. Any attempt to gain unfair advantage through impersonation, collusion beyond the rules, deliberate disruption, or abuse of the event environment is prohibited.
Follow organizer instructions
Participants must follow the directions of organizers and event staff. Decisions made by the organizers regarding conduct, eligibility, scoring, and disciplinary action are final for the duration of the event.
No disruptive behaviour
Do not disturb other teams or interfere with the competition environment. Excessive noise, tampering with equipment, obstructing participants, or intentionally creating confusion in the room is not allowed.
Use the event environment responsibly
Take care of the venue, devices, network access, and any materials provided during the event. Damaging or misusing physical or digital resources may result in disqualification and removal from the competition.
Protect privacy and confidentiality
Do not expose, share, or misuse other participants’ personal information, credentials, private notes, or competition-related data. Respect the privacy of everyone taking part in the event.
Academic and professional integrity
The competition is also a learning and community-building event. Participants are expected to act with integrity, represent their institution responsibly, and uphold the values of ethical cybersecurity practice.
Misconduct may lead to sanctions
Violations of these rules may lead to warnings, score penalties, disqualification, removal from the venue, or exclusion from future editions of the event, depending on severity.
